........ does anyone know the braindead owner of this bike??? This afternoon at about 3.30, I was driving along Bonis Hall Lane from Handforth towards Macclesfield, an NSL road where unfortunately the average speed seems to be 30mph. I had about 8 or 10 cars ahead of me, but noticed a 'bike coming up behind, so I moved over to the left to give him room to pass safely. Not wanting to end up in the sin bin, I daren't use any appropriate words to describe what can only be the worst display of riding I have ever witnessed!!! As soon as he was in front of me, he removed both hands from the handlebars to stretch his arms & fingers, at the same time the bike was slowing to around 15 mph, whilst the slow moving traffic ahead was pulling away. He would then accelerate and swerve from side to side in what I assume he thought was a "tyre warming" stint, but then he would return to his arm & finger stretching exercises, again slowing to 15 mph with no hands on the bars, wobbling all over the road. This went on for about 4 miles, .... WHY oh WHY did I move over for this idiot to demonstrate his ability to act like a complete w
ker???
So if anyone knows, the fat tosser, dressed in jeans, anorak & normal shoes, maybe they would tell him, he was inches from being shoved into the hedge by a black Insignia, and if he hadn't been as fat, maybe he could have had some rear view in his mirrors, and seen how close he was to being history!!
Rant over!!

I appreciate and understand your rant. What an idiot. Every biker knows it's easier to ride no handed at 40mph than it is 15mph. If he was only doing 15mph, I can understand him wanting to warm his tyres, at that speed they are going to lose all their heat, so this must have been for safety.
ker??? The reason for doing both of the above are through frustration at not being able to do the following
-use his mobile phone
-lean over to sort his CD's out
-turn round to have a conversation with the kids/mates
-use the rear view mirror to do his make up
honestly mate, posting an anti bike thread on a bike forum...perlease

Only it doesn't warm the tyres at all, you need to stress the tyres to warm them up, not just roll them from side to side. When you see an F1 car do it they are doing 100mph and forcing the sidewall and tread to move so generating heat but on a bike just rolling from side to side only marks you out as a knobber

Ah yes, the sun is out and so are the Muppets.
I know every year we experienced all year bikers moan about the Power Rangers coming out of hibernation and straddling their plastic fantastic rockets...but this year it does seem to be a bad year.
I had a near miss with a biker 'who came out of nowhere' yesterday. I was in the outside lane overtaking at quite a pace, when this guy went passed me, between me (I was on a bike as well) and the verge at way over 100mph. It was quite a surprise what with his loud can and certainly made me wobble a bit I can tell you!
Then this morning as I was filtering, a Power Ranger with matching bike filters at considerably higher speed than me, again, between the outside lane and the verge before sweeping back between the middle and outside lane to the sound of car horns...I shook my head in disbelief
and no, before you say it, I wasn't holding him up - he was simply an impatient knob with a death wish.
Bother absolute freaking nutters. No wonder people keep dieing on bikes ffs.
OP - thanks for pulling over for the bike. Shame you wasted your effort for a t
t though.

Silly mistakes you learn from, riding like a knob you usually die from.
Sorry, I just get a bit narked when these inexperienced tossers come out in the sun and give all bikers a bad name.

Thanks, my sentiments entirely! We all make mistakes, but this was no mistake ..... this was a display of riding at its worst! I drive 2000 miles a week, I ride a 600, I instruct on race circuits 7 days a week almost, and I see idiots every where I go, ..... this was the exception,.... he won the trophy!Silly mistakes you learn from, riding like a knob you usually die from.

I thought you were being serious, some people do think like that
Thats nothing, I was on my ZX6R yesterday afternoon in heavy traffic. Being a big bloke, the Kwak can get a bit uncomfortable at prolonged slow speeds. Anyway, after a bloke in an Insignia let me by, I wasnt making much progress and after an hour in traffic, my b
ks were numb and my arms ached. So I took time out to stretch my legs and fingers and get the blood flowing again with a bit of left and right within my lane. Wasnt harming anyone, couldnt get more than 50m up the road anyway, due to the traffic. Suddenly, captain planet in the Insignia is sitting right on my arse, flashing his headlights at me, doubtless enraged by me being one carspace in front of him and firm in the belief that if it wasnt for me, he'd be 50m further up the road and would get home 3.2secs earlier.
Im not going to put his numberplate up on the interet because its not my place to publicly identify and label another road user a t
t when I dont know his side of the story - that would be stupid. But what the f
k was his problem?
