Oh SPAFF

smile triumph announced today that they've partnered up with Ohlins to make better-suspended variants of the urban sports range... Expect similar Street Triples and Daytonas...

Absolutely georgeous. Don't care if the street triple is a more fun ride, this is THE naked triple to have and drool over.

This has got to be one of the last Speed Triple 'versions'… I think it looks quite dated up close for some reason. Maybe they'll use the 1200 Daytona engine for the next one… *dreams*.

My dealer says a 675 Tiger is definitely on the cards… he bought some 600cc adventure-style bikes off of Triumph's R&D dept. last month…

The seat looks like Alcantara… nice biggrin I know they offer such a seat for the Daytona, I wonder if that's going to be a new accessory along with the blacked-out exhaust…

shame about the blue fitting on that oil line ruining all the colour coordination though.

I WANT IT!I WANT IT!I WANT IT!

I was thinking about trading my 2007 Speed Triple in against a nice sensible Tiger.

Sod that, I want that one.

I wonder how much it'll cost..

In terms of actual bikes available to buy, there's a 2010 Speed Triple SE with redone suspension (slightly softer at the rear, I think) to improve the ride. Looks like a Monster.

I think it looks good. Not the best looking bike, but not the worst.

The problem with Triumphs for me is that when I see them on screen/in print I really like them. When I go and see/sit on them at the shop they do nothing for me (with exception of Scrambler - which I think is great and I would have for city riding every day!).

I am waiting on an announcement of the new Sprint as in theory it should be exactly what I am looking for in my next road bike. I went and sat on the current version and again it did nothing for me. I really hope the next one ticks all the boxes. My dealer tells me that the new version will be around March time - but I have not seen anything official yet. Anyone seen anything official on this?

For the Speed Triple fans on here, after seeing the pictures I had a quick nose around the Triumph site & notice that they're going to be releasing some trick (but expensive) brake/clutch levers & colour coded rad surrounds, but no mention of rearsets, black Arrow exhaust or Ohlins prices yet.
Nice to see gold forks on the Speed Triple again, one of the things that I prefer on my 2007 model.
