Let's not incriminate ourselves by using units of measure, but how fast did you go (hypothetically) in the heat of summer last year? only in the interests of seeing if bigger power outputs actually make you go much faster that someone on a smaller bike... eg, I seem to find the speedo reaching 1.5* units quite often on bikes like Ninjas, or certainly nearing 100% of the capability of whatever the machine......

* infact DtM has seen the 636 doing 1.6 units while being followed by fast Porshe ! eh Denny?

Hi did 1.4 units on me old faired Bandit in the summer. Have done 1.35 units on the GSXR this year, even though it is not fully run in yet, another 50 miles to take it to full revs!!!

Well I can't even get to a whole 1 unit unless we make the units metric but that is from a 125 upright supermoto styleee bike trying to drag around 16 stone of lard 0.9 is as quick as it's going to go

Did 186 on my GSX-R1000 - which is the rev limiter in 6th.

It is quite funny because the speedo stops and yet the bike keeps going for a few a couple of hundred more revs!

Got the speedo to 1.70 units on the gixer but the ra said that was a bit optomistic. by about .15 units

However it seemed to pull away from anything I met. maybe its the lower gearing messing up the units.

Right! Save your licence and get a naked bike

Every time I borrow a faired bike I accidentally end up cruising way too fast. The S3 reminds you by ripping your head off (you can still manage 1.5+ units, but only briefly!).

Bandit very regulary achieved 1.49 units on the clock, but I have since had that measured through the Brunters lazer trap & its just off a real 1.3 units

Got the RVF was off the clock & that later was lazered slightly swifter than the Bandit at 1.31 units.

Still not too gutted the whole reason I have an unfaired bike & comparitively slow bike is to keep my speed down.

On 4 wheels however I did hit a gnats cock off a lazered 1.8 units in '03 tho, & the speedo was nearer the magic 2.0 units

1.56 units, regular 1.3, never look at the clock on the track for fear of ending in the gravel or worse!
