Let's not incriminate ourselves by using units of measure, but how fast did you go (hypothetically) in the heat of summer last year? only in the interests of seeing if bigger power outputs actually make you go much faster that someone on a smaller bike... eg, I seem to find the speedo reaching 1.5* units quite often on bikes like Ninjas, or certainly nearing 100% of the capability of whatever the machine......
* infact DtM has seen the 636 doing 1.6 units while being followed by fast Porshe ! eh Denny?

did 1.55 units on my mates GSXR600 and regularly do 1.3 units on the Speed Triple.

Every time I borrow a faired bike I accidentally end up cruising way too fast. The S3 reminds you by ripping your head off (you can still manage 1.5+ units, but only briefly!).
danny
Bandit very regulary achieved 1.49 units on the clock, but I have since had that measured through the Brunters lazer trap & its just off a real 1.3 units
Got the RVF was off the clock & that later was lazered slightly swifter than the Bandit at 1.31 units.
Still not too gutted the whole reason I have an unfaired bike & comparitively slow bike is to keep my speed down.
On 4 wheels however I did hit a gnats cock off a lazered 1.8 units in '03 tho, & the speedo was nearer the magic 2.0 units
