That's an impressive bit of overspending. Can you let us know how the conversation went? Was it:

"Can I help you,Sir?"

"Yes, I'd like a pair of gloves."

"We have a special offer on at the moment, buy this 748 and you get a pair of gloves free"

"Done".

Did a similar thing with the Monster.

After the 'blade off I vowed to mother/girlfriend/business partners etc that 2 wheels were behind me. 11 months later I popped into a Ducati shop one sunny Saturday to get my nephew a key-ring for his birthday and, literally, got the key ring for free, attached as it was to the keys of my new M900.

My word I was popular the next week - not!

no one's looking for a corbin seat (orignally from a 748SP) in black with yellow piping around the seat are they? A steal around £50 if you ask me

been out on it yet? I was looking at a duke myself. Do they power like a 600 or give all through grunt like a 1000cc?

I had a go on a suzuki gsxr750, and I found it more like a 600, but quicker, than my thou..
but dukes are twins, so keen to know the comparisons

It had just come in as a part ex when I saw it, if I'd have been there 5 mins earlier I could have saved myself a few quid and bought it off the bloke in the car park

Getting a full service today, I'll give you all a full report on Monday
