Dad buys son a MotoGP ride

Karel Abraham Snr (owner of the Brno circuit where the MotoGP circus will be at next) has bought his son Karel Jnr a ride in MotoGP on a private Ducati next year. Good for numbers, but he's hardly done anything to warrant it.

To be fair he's starting to string together a few top 6 finishes I am sure once his daddy's money has run out he will be snapped up by Honda or Yamaha!

I have a feeling i will eat my words - wins Moto GP crown in debut season with 17 straight wins.....

Reports say he was on lap record pace at test before sachsenring round at mugello, last few races hes been at sharp end of moto 2, may surprise...

What happened to olden days when guys used to come straight from AMA, Aussie superbikes - (Got This From Crash.net..... But Doohan came straight from Aus SB - Imagine Repsol Honda done that now a days)

Yes hes dads rich and happens to own Brno circuit, but there is defo talent there... people gotta give him a chance plus its 1 more rider on the grid at end of day.

He has crashed 4 out of 5 times at Brno so dont hold ya breathe with the Brno thing.

The size of the Moto GP grid is pitiful so the more the merrier in my book.

Nothing new - the ability to bring cash to the team is always one of they key factors in hiring. In many of the less affluent teams it is THE key factor.
