New bike today!

Did a bad thing - took my ZZR1100 to the dealer for a 20,000 mile service and came home on a new ZZR1200. I'm a creature of habit!
I didn't tell my girlfriend, I just parked it outside when I got home and waited to see how long it would take her to notice. It wasn't too long - the old one was silver and the new one is a deep midnight blue!
Hope the sun shines this weekend!!!

First impressions - it's a lot more sanitised (and user friendly)than the 11. The most obvious thing is the handling, which is simply streets apart. No more wrestling through the twisties, the front end is transformed. The riding position is slightly more upright and the fairing is wider. On the negative side much of the induction rasp seems to have been silenced - in fact it seems all a bit too quiet!
I wanted a ZX12R until I took one for a ride - I just can't do that riding position. Awesome dynamics, but after five miles I'd made up my mind - the 12R is not for a 500-miles-in-a-day blast (which is my idea of a ride), it's for two hours' insanity on a sunny Sunday only. It'll eat the ZZR in any situation, but it'll also eat me after about 200 miles in the seat.
