has anyone got anything to help shed some light on why Focused events are totally uncontactable?

They don't respond to emails (for over a month from three different email accounts), phone rings out and no ansa phone (and has been like this for 2 weeks).

As we are/were about to drop them 1500 quid for track days in Spain this winter....it'd be nice to know they will still exist when the time comes!

No limits is the only company i use.

Hottrax, no one can ever contact them, then for no reason changed my day to 2 inter groups, no idea why, the briefing was "we are just looking for a reason to send you home" we have your money already so fook off, that set the tone for the day. frown

Focused, pretty much the same, charged my card twice for the day i did, took ages to get through to them, then was told by a snotty women, its was my fault and they couldn't do anything, i said no problem i will contact the issuing credit card company and advise of the fraudulent activity on the card, when the details were given for £109 not £218, that soon changed there tune, i did the day, but would never book with them again.

No limits is the only way to go. biggrin

No tried easy track, but people say good things, so will give them a try next year.

Why is this then. Are they in financial trouble, or has Kevin got too much for them? Not many people have too many nice things to say about him, do they?

The 'I hate FE' thread starts again.

While the saying 'I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire' applies to the owner, I have yet to have a bad trackday with them. No less and no more stoppages than other operaters, that I'm afraid is usually down to the idiots on circuit.

I have had more issues with No Limits than FE, yet not enough to adopt the same anti FE attitude that some do.

Issues or not, courtesy costs nothing. An e-mail or quick call is all it takes for them to resolve this problem. A lesson could be learnt by all the TDO's in this area.

I've kept my issues with FE to myself and FE.

It still doesn't alter the fact they're the 3rd preferred TD organizer for me.

No. hehe

Being serious (for once) I've talked to the owner only a couple of times and he was fine.

Mrs Nemesis is the one who books the days and she has the same complaints as the OP.

You're absolutely right - although I would say that whilst "we" are the customer and they should recognise that, I suspect that the whole TD thing has started the process of disappearing up it's own Akro. It's rapidly being taken over by the wannabes, and the litigants are also rearing their heads now ("what do you mean, it's my own fault? You let me out on a track and I fell off and scratched my little finger, so now I'm going to sue you for not stopping me from riding like a tit and falling off").

Without a bit of a shake-up, TDs will either disappear, be legislated against, or become somewhere that "normal" folk don't actually want to go.

A stty email to them last night has finally solicited a response. Not to my questions about the days they have scheduled, but about the fact they have phone issues.

So, I'm none the wiser.

As for chosing to book with FE. Iz and I had a fine time in Spain last winter. well organised, safe track time and attentive staff. No idea about the owner. I shop at Tesco and don't know who their boss is either. Does that make me a bad person?

I'm aware that the FE company seems to get a bad rap, but as yet the TD's have been fine. Their previous communication was fine, UNTIL now, CC seems to have explained why that would be.

I would happily also book with No limits in Spain, if they were there in December on consecutive weeks when Iz and I happen to be off work. problem is they are not and FE is.

What's a boy to do? Sit and home and put up with Christmas in the UK? I'd rather boil my arse.

Aha another FE bashing thread,I love it
The likes of Craig thinking they know it all when in reality he doesn't even do many TDs and certainly knows fk all about the comings and goings at FE as most people outside of the office dont
Ive done loads of TDs over the years with all the Major TDOs and my take is this

Hottrax - wouldn't give them a penny of my hard earned as I think the owner is a bit of a and dont much care for the days themselves

NL & FE - dont have any issues with either. Also know Kev quite well and have to say he is ok,too many people jump on the bandwagon when a "Slag healy off" thread appears and they have never met the fella and only going on hearsay
In Almeria in Feb there was a rather nasty accident and Kev spent the following 3 days at the Guys bedside and paid for his family to be flown out and put them all in a hotel but I dont see a thread about that ?? do you

35 last year, half of those full days, some afternoons, some open pitlanes, mostly at cadwell, if that isnt doing many than im the pope.

also, single me out if you wish, but many on here have used and dissaproved of FE, and posted about it, so if anyones bashing, maybe its you?

ETA, if any company realises something was in the wrong and takes action to rectify it, thats deserves credit, so credit where credits due to FE for posting.

There is a good reason why Focused Events get so many complaint threads, poor reviews and general poor comments - they don't give a sh*t about their customers . . . hence even on this thread couple of people confirm they can't even get hold of them on the phone. Try Motorsport Vision . . . every time you'll get hold of somebody who appears keen to help.

I've done TD's in Spain with Hotrax and they are full of people who wouldn't touch FE with somebody else's barge pole.

I'm astonished that they are still in business.
