For those of you who know this place, and even those who don't, it has re-opened under new management. It shut down late last year when the previous owners, after nearly 15 years I believe, decided to move on. At the time there were no indications that new owners were on the horizon, but they seem to have arrived and set up.

It was always a great biker cafe, on one of the best roads in the borders, from Moffat to Selkirk.
When I get back from my offshore trip at the end of the month I will be heading down there to check it out. Anyone else been there recently?

Superb route up there. I plan to do more Northumberland/Borders runs this year.

Just a word of warning, the road is heavily policed at weekends.
There's a surprise!

I'be been down there fairly often in the past 3 years, and i've never seen a copper, never mind a speed trap. I've been told plenty of times they do patrol it, but i've started to wonder if its just an urban myth. Regardless, i keep it below 100 on the striaghts, and just enjoy the twisties, of which there are plenty smile

When I visited a couple of years ago there were a couple of bike coppers there wandering around chatting bikes with people and handing out little maps showing some really good biking routes but highlighting locations that were accident blackspots. A pretty impressive approach to policing I thought
