I bought one new about 18 months ago. I’ve had a few niggles with it which I’m happy to put down to them being low volume hand built. The factory were very quick to resolve so no complaints. They are an absolute gem to ride! Great balance between old school engine characteristics with super sharp handling and brakes. I did the Malle Mountain Rally on it last Sept and had a blast. They are definitely one of those bikes that comes alive when you press on a bit.

If you enjoyed the noise on tick over just wait until it’s run in and you get the overrun pops and bangs :-)

I’d love one of these. When the previous version came out I saw one at the bike show and fell in love, then all of the stuff about exploding engines and stolen pension funds came out so I didn’t do anything about it.
Great to see the new revamped bikes appear to be living up to the name. Back onto the wish list!

One for the older boys in here.

Chris Dabbs former MCN Editor has died, Chris was paralysed in 1993 testing motorcycles.

Sad news. I think he was only in his early 60s. Someone who continued to live life to the full despite his disability.

Remember him, from what I saw he handled his condition after his crash well

(Cool bike btw )
He did, yep, very cool bike, wish I had one.

This bike was the bane of my life back in ‘89/‘90 when me and my mate were 17 and had our first bikes… He had an unrestricted RD125LC in a Wrangler colour scheme, and I had a brand new Honda NS125F. Very much restricted.

We were not that clued up at that time re: 2T restrictions and just assumed both bikes would be similar in performance.. So it irritated me intently every time we rode (raced wink) and he left me for dead! I just couldn’t understand it..my bike was newer!! weepinglaugh

Good days though smile

Lovely RD BN
Great times when you're young on motorcycles.

Cheers.

A bit of a result there really John..... and not a commonly occurring issue so natural to begin looking at the bearings etc...
Every day's a school day apparently wink
There's no fool like an old fool Steve.

You made an assumption and we got more pics.

They says it's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

It's a feel good thread.
Every day is a School day, I should have learned by now.

Nice ride around Edinburgh this afternoon in a rare bit of sunshine. Stopped off at the Triumph dealer as a happy looking chap was about to set off on his brand new Triumph Speed 400. I had a look at the yellow Street Triple RS, which is a lovely looking bike and hopefully my next bike (or more sensibly, the R in silver, but the yellow looks stunning!0

Not been on PH for ages, but current news is I might have placed a deposit on this. Objectively it'll perhaps not be the package my fairly sorted '98 'Blade is, but I feel the need for something that's a little bit more of an 'occasion'. Can't wait to get it.

A misty moisty ride around the Jura yesterday morning. Left home at 7h30 back at 10h with croissants/pain aux raisins for a late breakfast.
