Gen3,4 oil pick up pics

Been asked about this topic several times already this year, was taking these pics for an owner and so thought be a good idea to post them up here as a reference point if anyone else is ever needing to know.

From left to right:
OE fixed oil pick up Gen3 engine
Comp Coupe (Gen 3) swinging oil pick up
OE full swing Gen 4 oil pick up

Photos of all the differences fairly self explanatory (and you can fit Gen4 to Gen3 with some mods)! If you ever plan to go on track, the stock fixed oil pick up is a big problem in the Gen3, the later Gen4 oil pan is improved too, and so is the Gen4 oil pump much better.

Non of them go 360 degree... in the 2 pics I showed both the mod 2008 and the Comp Coupe one both at the full travel of their swings on the stops! If you look carefully you'll can see the stops, the sump construction and baffles wouldn't allow for 360 swing.
