Every now and then I look at the Event Dates to see what is on, I notice that there is an event on at Goodwood called Sushi Sunday!(2nd Nov).

If the Event dates are being advitised on the 'VIPER' Events page, dose this mean there will be an official Club gathering or, is it a case of theres an event, feel free to turn up? If your lucky you might see another Viper? I know were not a big club but if poss would like a little clarity on the subject, Thanks smile

I don't think the goodwood dates you would necessarily see another viper, you will have more success though if there is a date you want to go to and put up a post and see if anyone else wants to join you.

I have been adding the Goodwood Breakfast Club dates for the past couple of years as a few of us have gone on a number of occasions, can't say that I would definitely go to all of them, to be honest I have found that over the past couple of years the Breakfast Clubs have changed alot, and not particularly for the better. The couple that I have been to this year have been Ok, but not great, for a number of reasons I'm not going to get into here.

It is unfortunate that they are so far South, as there is only a limited few of us that are likely to go to them, but I have been putting them up, as occasionally we do go, and the option is always there for anyone as it's a free event, with cars.

In answer to your question as to whether the dates on the events list will always be an official club gathering, not technically, no.

The events list was originally a way for us to keep an eye on things that are going on that we may well be interested in going to, and Dave is quite right, generally you will find that closer to the time someone will start a thread to see if anyone is going, and it takes off from there.

The Official Club Events are a more obvious as they tend to be things like the Luton Lunch, or Northern Run, which are specifically put together for the club, and usually have threads running alongside the dates list.

I think the events page is working about as it should now, its pretty obvious whats a viper event and whats just an FYI. Its not being clogged up with lots of names against each event and if people start a thread or wiki if they are thinking of going along to something then they are bound to be joined by someone unless it really is a dodgy get together in a lay-by involving steamed up windows.

The only improvement i would like to see is people updating the update log when they make a change as it can be a bit frustrating when you can see someone has made an update and cant figure out whats changed. I swear some of you just click edit and post without actually making a changemad

Completely agree!

I have just titivated the update text at the top of the Wikis in order to bring more attention to them, hopefully people will then change the relevent update info at the same time as they make any amendments

No Worries Mark, The Breakfast Clubs at Goodwood are open to anyone who is interested, and are free to attend, they are usually held on the first Sunday of each month, (unless they clash with an event at Goodwood such as The Festival of Speed, or the Revival Weekend), and usually have a Theme for each Sunday, the 2nd November is Japanese Cars as you have already noted.

Turn up in whatever you like, but they will only display cars relevant to the theme for the day, all others will be put in other available car parks, which if you turn up in the Viper will usually still be within the circuit on Tarmac, but anything else will be sent to the fields... Though I have seen the odd nice car also sent to the grass when it's busy... Best bet is get there early if you're planning on going.

so there's no interest on a viper forum for a Jap way day down south in november? why not laugh

lets delete it then, giving goodwood free advertising after what they charged the club just to park on the grass mad ....
