i have been quite disturb for couple of days by a remark made by my friend when he said the my viper gts reminded him of a 3 litre ford capri of the 70s.i know vipers are not loaded with latest gismos but to me thts the attraction.it takes me back 3 years to a comment that he made when i just droped my yellow fever srt 10 truck and picked up my bently arnage.he commented in typical manner of how nice must the benley be next to the old fashioned dodge truck.my response at that moment was that it felt like riding there on a stallion and riding back on a mule.to me the bently was the mule.any thoughts please

Some one once commented that my 1974 AMV8 was like a Capri, I think for non petrol head every thing is like a Capri just as all meet, snake frog etc tastes like Chicken
Remedy is to poke him in the eyes as he don not require them

Viper does handle somewhat better than Capri!!! Although at the mo, my Capri is undergoing prep for painting, in primer and vinal roof off, in common with the Viper it certainly gets some looks on the road. However, it has been know for a cetain Irish Viper owner to rob parts from my Capri, and I now have to drive around with no nice black seat fittings, the scruffy seat currently matches the striped exterior I guess, and the seat fittings are gathering dust in CA!

Ar' but what you have got to remember is that in those days the mobile phone had not been invented wink And if a few of you went out for a drive it was a good laugh smile Are they still legal? Just wondered what would happen if you were using one while driving ? Breaker, Breaker, Comon hehe

Just got rid of my 79 3.0S Capri after 27 years and it was in excellent condition. I was the second owner from new.

Here's a few photos if the link works

I've not owned the GTS but the Capri is not really a patch on the Viper RT/10 for performance however the interior is much better and more comfortable, it never leaked, I could hear the stereo - plus you can get two people in the back!
