Wonder if this will affect supply of our tyres? I guess being from the US, maybe not?

And then they'll be moaning about how cold it is!

ds just try and get you however they can don't they!? I can't see how they can just retrospectively stop manufacturers from making tyres to fit cars that already exist though??? There has to be some kind of legal issue with this? It would render 'gazillions' of pounds worth of cars completely worthless...

Sorry for being a little dumb here but if you you lower the rolling resistance does that not reduce the tarmac car grip abbility? so what was a safe 60mph corner now becomes a hairy scary 60mph corner?
or does it not work like that?

I think that about covers it actually yes... Not the brightest move! or does it not work like that?

We'll all be rushing out to buy a second set of front wheels though no doubt

I already need a pair of fronts, if this happens I'll need two pairs!
Edited to add: (As someone who will remain nameless didn't understand what I was getting at)
The second pair of front wheels were to take the place of the rears, if we can't get tyres that wide anymore...

I am not surprised by any decision of politicians any more.
Why?
Because politicians spot all the time new areas to keep us in leading-strings.
Lately, the European law regulating the curvature of cucumbers has been canceled because they saw it is not necessary. Cucumbers are not straight, but we had a law regulating the curvature! Wow.
Now, why not restrict tire size?
Or, brain puniness of politicians?

I wonder if I can get a set of 2CV wheels to fit the GTS?
I saw an article many years ago, where they replaced a Lamborghini rear wheel with 3x 2CV wheels bolted together. Apparently it worked really well and even had some advantages in vert wet and snowy conditions! They even had a picture at the time.
I'm sure they'll find a way round it.
I've got a plan!
If we all stock up on tyres now, and buy shares in this stuff Grip Tyre Softener, we'll be alright for a fair few years... Not sure about the legality of it... But then surely it can't be all that legal to ban the manufacture of large tyres for existing cars in the first place!? b
