Does anyone know if the stock cats from a 94RT are worth anything as scrap

According to 5th Gear most cats are worth a few bob They are supposed to contain Platinum which is expencive!!!

That's where I picked up on it but I saw on the VCA site recently that the later versions have ceramic cats which are not worth anything.

Argh, but I wonder if the bloke in the scrap merchants Knows there full of ceramic rubbish? To him its a cat!
