HI TO ALL.
RECENTLY BOUGHT MY FIRST VIPER.....ONLY TAKEN ME 17 YEARS SINCE I FIRST TRIED ONE.
I AM BASED IN STAFFORDSHIRE.
CAN ANYONE HELP WITH A FEW QUESTIONS PLEASE..:

ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR A REPUTABLE ESTABLISHMENT FOR SERVICING IN THE MIDLANDS?
IS THERE SUCH THING AS A SERVICE MANUAL AVAILABLE FOR VIPERS?
HOW DO I DETERMINE EXACTLY WHICH GENERATION VIPER I HAVE? (SEEN ALOT OF GEN 1-2-3-4 IN FORUMS)
(ITS A 1993 RT-10)
MOT IS DUE 9TH MARCH....ANY SUGGESTIONS AGAIN FOR MOT STATION AND/OR MOT SUGGESTIONS?

I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING MORE INVOLVED WITH THE VIPER CLUB.....CAN NEW MEMBERS ALSO JOIN THROUGH VIPER MAGAZINE WEBSITE?
ANY VIPER OWNERS LOCAL/CLOSE TO ME?

HOPE TO MEET SOME OF YOU FELLOW VIPER OWNERS SOON

ALL THE BEST

Hi Bry,

You have a GenI, (you'll have to get some pics up for us).

Service manuals are available, best place to look is either ebay or keep an eye on the VCA classifieds, I will keep my eye out for you. Servicing is available via V1PER (Baz) here, in the Luton area, he has been working on Vipers for many years and certainly knows his stuff, a large number of us make the trip to him.

You can join the VCA as a new member via the Viper Magazine website, (you will need your chassis number).

Try and make it to the Luton Lunch on the 15th March if you can, there is already quite a few of us going, and is the first meet of the year, new faces are always made very welcome.

Let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

All the best

Hello Viper-Bry
Welcome to the Viper world thumbup To find out a bit more info on your car you can go to the www.theviperregistry.org/vin.php This will give you information on the VIN No for your car. Also on the drivers door there should be a bar coded sticker with paint code info and build date of your car.

So what car have you bought? Is it a personal import to the UK, or did you find it over here? Looking forward to seeing some pics smile

Once you have checked out your chassi / Vin No you can start to look around for Service manuals etc. eBay USA is the cheapest for this wink The prices are all over the place on manuals, so keep an eye out smile For spare parts many owners in the UK use Tators Dodge, its a family run business on the east side of the USA. Chuck Tator comes over here now and again and is a Top Bloke smile He is known as the 'Viper Wizard'. His website is www.tatorsdodge.com
I look forward to seeing you at one of the meets smile

93 Service manuals are a little harder to find... The more expensive ones are the full Training Manuals with binders

This one is a bargain! If you can convince him to post to the UK: $50 for the full pack including the binder!!

Welcome to Viper ownership.

Just a thought regarding the manual.

I have a 93 Viper, so I brought a 93 manual, however the actual spec of my car is more aligned to a 94 car. I believe there was a cross over period towards the end of 93 when the cars being produced were to the 94 spec. How do you tell? I think the quickest way is via the battery if yours is located in the trunk then you have a 93 spec. Mine is accessed via removal of the rear drivers wheel, which I think makes it a 94 spec, although the car was actually made in 1993.

One of the real experts will soon correct me if I am writing rubbish.

Enjoy the car!!

Wecome to the nut house!!!!!

A big % of 93's also had a rear antena on the rear drivers wing and a dimple in the rear wing for the fuel filler lid rather than a raised area in the lid its self..

Or you could just let us know what the 10th digit in the VIN is....

No need to shout Bry! biggrin

Send Baz a PM through his profile regarding servicing, he doesn't do MOT's but may well be able to sort something out.

Regarding the Luton Lunch, keep you eyes on the threads here, but it's on Sunday the 15th March, more details are usually sent a little more privately. As I said yesterday, it is looking likely to be quite a good turn out this year, and a good chance to meet everyone and have a chat etc.

PM me if you like and email me some photos, I'll stick them up for you if you're not sure how to do it, but the usual course is get them up on photobucket.
