It's a battery conditioner/trickle charger to keep the battery topped up when left parked up for long periods of time. Keep mine hooked up 24hrs a day when not in use.

car has a battery disconnect swith in boot.
when its in garage or parked anywhere else i usually disconnect battery at swith in boot....for security also....will that be ok too?

thanks for all the nice comments on the car.
it is in nice condition.
i only have one little snag with it.
when i checked oil last week before going out in car i noticed the bonnet has rubbed on the one side below the windscreen.
little bit pissed off because it is otherwise spotless. (apart from a wash and wax again). and not sure if it wash there when i bought it.....dont think it was.

any comments or advise welcome.

I think that must be quite common as mine is the same. I want to find out what matt black was used so that I can touch it up. Does anyone know ??
