had a few questions asked over the last months but only had a few decent runs in the SRT lately, havent really got on the power as yet either, but it certainly takes off a quicker than the GTS.

once you get over the shape/design of the Gen3 smile there are some big improvements, the clutch is really light just like my focus and the gearing is slick no more clunking around feeling for gears, in fact i havent missed a gear yet ! though the actual gearing itself seems different when acclerating. the suspension feels more sorted as well with a firmer ride but not overly stiff

First thing i really came aware to on the intial test drive was the steering rack, that it is super fast, a little input and your off across the road, even when plodding around

The big stoppers make a difference and you can feel them instantly slowing the car with a gentle push on the brake pedal

the seats are really comfy and quite supportive with no slipping around as the alcantera down the centre of the seat holds you in place, the interior lighting at night is fab bright white with a brightness switch so the dials jump out, i do like the big speedo in the middle, the headlights actually do their job lighting the road rather than candles in jam jars, the stereo (for graham) is a huge leap forward as well

only downside ive noticed so far is the rear visibility isnt as good as the gen2, not much to see from the rear view mirror, smaller glass on the door mirrors, and turning your shoulder at junctions for a better view doesnt really work that well. Not to sure about the run flats tyres yet..more driving needed

all in all its almost seems like a proper car wink

Leigh has been driving the SRT for a while, and has also noticed similar to the above

And I can tell you the GEN-IV is even better in every aspect.
Tranny, suspension and the 612 hp do not hurt either ;-)

Stiil, have to get used to the looks!

Sounds good mate.
i thought it was just me getting a bit older with ref to the quick s/rack.
can get interesting top end speed.
My brakes seem slightly vague, and the shocks can crash a bit too.
i reckon someone gave it a good thrashing, but im gonna sort it.biggrin
turning left at a small junction can be a pain,if poss i try and aim straight
to get a better view of traffic from the right.
