Counting down the days...can`t wait. Jenny and Andrew kindly sorted my camping ticket, I booked my ferry months ago and buy my entry ticket at the gate. I gave up taking the Viper a few years ago due to the year on year increase in t
ts and hoons who seem to be out for entertainment at the expence of others, so be warned and don`t drive about on friday after 6pm as the drunks are out in force by then and anything nice will be a target Houx roundabout/Mulsanne straight are no go areas after this time.Last year in the area of my tent a car was hit ithe door by a low flying rocket and a large number of cars were keyed (with a screw driver like object judging by the damage) from end to end.It just seems to attract some odd/sick people these days and not just car/race fans.
I shall be taking my old transit van this year ,whilst I very much miss taking the Viper the plus side is I can get from a-b without bother and I don`t care if its damaged and don`t have the worry of wonderng what I`ll be coming back to whilst out and about watching the racing.i took my car last year and it was so nice not to have the worry.
If your careful where u park and drive (don`t go out after 6pm on Friday) it can be much fun in a Viper.Mark is taking his down this year and I`m sure he,ll have a great time with it (But be careful Mark....Le Mans and Cars never seem a good mix for you in recent times!
) If you see a BELLS BOILER SERVICES WHITE TRANSIT VAN...give us a wave!

Going down Thursday morning (early) Eurotunnel 06:20 Plan to go non motorway all the way to Le mans. Staying at Small Private campsite away from the circuit south west of Arnage. 1 RT/10 and 1 Cream puff GTS in our gang
Friend of mine has used the campsite for many years, its away from the nutters
and has a good shower block and power, We also have a support van for the BBQ / Beer and Fridge If any other Viper owners wish to join us I don't see it being a problem, but let me know ASAP. If you have not got any tickets for the circuit, they can be bought when you get there

few have been before and camped at a bar/restaurant opposite main entrance near expo campsite.....i am a little nervous about the security and safety though.....so working out a plan B should i need it........especially with this mad friday crap!! dont want car wrecked on first trip in it.
what are your thoughts.?...would be great to meet fellow vipers....i didnt make it to the luton lunch.
any other advise or tips welcome.

I've just sent an email to my mate asking him for the campsite details. Your thoughts about the mad Friday crap are the exact reason I have elected to camp away from the circuit this time
We plan to do the St Saturnin meet Friday am and the Mulsanne meet early afternoon Then Friday evening Town center for the drivers parade and a meal. Then I think there's some sort of motor race on the Saturday
I think we have parking near the Airport but to be honest my friend has all the tickets and I'm not too sure of the full itinerary yet
I will let you know more details ASAP. I will also pm you with my contact nos, hopefully we could all meet up

also...is it far from track to town centre for friday parade?
Ok, the St Saturnin meet goes on every year on the Friday, St Saturnin is located just north of Le mans off the N138 (the old road. To get to St Saturnin you turn off the N138 near a large store called Auchan. If i remember correctly you go down a slip road then go under the N138. This year the theme of the show is for Morgans, but there's loads of other stuff there too
If you go on the Le mans forums LOWDRAG is one of the organisers, You can pm him for more questions
the meet starts at 8:30 and goes on through out the morning. Later in the day, for the first time, LOWDRAG has been orginising another meet at Mulsane with the local Mayor. This meet should be taking place from midday onwards. There is a sticky on the Le mans site with a list of the cars attending from PH. We plan on doing the St Saturnin meet for 9:30ish then 12ish for the other meet then drivers parade for about 5ish with a good meal etc. Traffic getting to the main square is normally a nightmare. Get yourself a good street map showing one way systems etc (essential) We have always managed to get there. (apart from one year when my old Cobra overheated and caught fire in the heat)
I have not used the new Tram yet but people seem to say its good!
