Made good wedding run cars, they weren't late for the church!! But we couldn't get the guests into the church until the Vipers drove off!

while i was on prom-taxi duty for a friend last week, got talking to other chauffeurs and heard what a living one can make by doing this sort of thing as a job/second job...got me thinking!...anyone want to partner up?!...2 passengers seats should work well

Pete, as you know we run a few wedding cars, be careful if you are planning on running a car for proms. The rules and regulations surrounding the use of cars for weddings and funerals is very different to that which is required for what is essentially private hire (taxi service) for Proms and regular hire useage, you will be required to be plated for private hire, the odd occasion with a donation toward your petrol is one thing, but if you get caught doing it regularly without being plated you will have a problem. And I have heard in the past that alot of the firms which hire cars out for Proms can get a bit funny if they start seeing other unplated cars on a regular basis and WILL pass your details on to the relevant authority... Just a word of warning.

Over £200 a pop as a grooms car for most supercars on this website... As a grooms car it would mostly be just a trip to the church/ceremony I should imagine...

As long as it's done all above board, and your insurance company are aware of it, then you shouldn't have any problems... The only reason I haven't advertised mine so far is that if you get bookings you have to stick with them, and alot of the bookings we take for our vintage cars can be over a year ahead of the event, which means if another event comes along you want to go to... You can't... Makes things a little less attractive to me at the moment...
