Just to let you know that out pit raised £850 which is a superb record.

That 170 laps you guys are brilliant, as that is probably the largest amount a pit has raised.

Thanks once again for all of pit 2, Good job

Great News!! Glad we did so well... Although I have to agree, I bet a fair proportion of that had to be from the SRT... Well done Paul!!!

ER YES! That figure might have been from their gate, but ours definitely took £850... Our Club President was running a constant count up on our takings.

Sorry, I just mean it wasn't a record. The PH gate (gate 9) did £1415.00, but we did have more cars.

Fair enough... How many cars did you have running?

I'm not sure if it was because of where we were, but we seemed to get sections of time where there was no-one waiting at all for quite some time, then a sudden non-stop flurry of people for a while, then another quiet spot... The afternoon could have been better, but due to a couple of braking problems, and lack of fuel we had to bring things to a halt.

Not sure how many cars as I was on the track most of the time, I think about 12 with 6 in the pit at any one time.

Averaging pretty much the same then...

£1415.00 / approximately 12 cars = £117.92 per car

£850 / 8 cars (Including Nad's SV and the Silk-Cut car) = £106.25 per car

Any how I was talking about our previous pits, this is my 9th year doing this.

I thought all petrol heads stuck together, didn't buzz over for a quick gloat then a quick slagging off.

Will you be there for nine years, did you do 40 laps...............were you about the only car running in the late afternoon and never stop.

If you are then I take my hat off, if you just want some my car is faster than yours then I hope by next year you will be able to reach the pedals on your car.

BTW we, in our pit are also Pistonheads

Oh Christ I wish I hadn't started this. I just saw the words "record for a pit" and thought I'd mention what gate 9 had done.

Paul, you got me into this event 2 years ago, sent me a pass, I'm not slagging anyone off. Yes, I probably did do nearly 40 laps, and ran right to the end. Nowhere have I claimed that my car was faster than yours, I don't know where you get that from? Plenty of cars passed me so I would be silly to claim that.

Apology made, perhaps I was also a bit sensitive as it is my favourite event and accepted.

Pistonheads are we all, MOVE ON.

Well done on your total, great job.
