Oh... I... and... OH!!!! I'll be back later...

A new and updated version of the Superperformance Cobra Daytona Coupe has been released, and this time around it's officially called a Shelby. Or the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe MKII to be precise.

In addition to finally carrying the Shelby name, the Cobra Daytona will also be given a CSX chassis number that will be included in the Shelby World Registry.

The new models are available with a fibreglass or aluminium body, and every car will feature Shelby signature external door handles and seat covers and Shelby will also provide their own branded braking system. Space in the cabin has been improved by moving the seats and steering wheel and the new external door handles mean that you no longer need to use a remote key to get into the car and the doors are now fitted with electric windows.

Shelby now has his name on the carThe suspension has also been updated with improved front and rear independent suspension, replacing the rose joints with ball joints and for the first time the Shelby offers camber, caster and toe-in adjustment at the front end, as well as easy camber and toe adjustment at the rear. The front and rear anti-roll bars have been redesigned and the chassis has been stiffened too.

The Shelby comes ready for its new owner to slot in their own choice of engine and transmission, but the previous Superperformance was built to take a variety of engines, ranging from a Ford 351 V8 stroked to 427cu right up to a Roush 402 RC with 501 bhp and a top speed in excess of 200mph.

To please tunnel runners the side exhausts on the new car have been increased in diameter to ensure a deeper rumble.

This piece of automotive art is priced at $89,900 with a fibreglass body and $195,900 finished in aluminium, but remember to factor in the cost of your engine too. LS7 anyone?
