I am looking into putting aircon into the RT and Chuck tells me that all the Viper systems are the same and it would be better to try and get hold of a secondhand system as the cost of new would be prohibitive. I am always amazed at the variety of spare parts that you guys come up with so if anyone has any bits gathering dust in a corner of the garage I would be interested to hear from you.
I am pretty sure that it is very simple to add aircon to a GenI, as from what I can gather the pipework etc is all the same, with or without Aircon. It would be worth contacting Paul Scharf for second hand parts, but the Aircon unit is pretty heavy from what I can gather, so shipping might be pricey.
I do have a number for a guy in the UK who was breaking a GenI at one point, but I haven't spoken wth him recently so unfortunately have no idea if he still has parts or if the car even had aircon, but it might be worth a shot.

Just spoke with Steve and it was a non aircon RT-10 but thanks anyway. Dennis has a few parts but I need to get hold of an installation drawing so that I know exactly what I need. My 93 has a dealer fitted aircon system fitted to it if you want to come and have a look at what is included. I also have a brand new, never been used aircon pump which might be for sale.
