Dear all,

Thanks to the posts on the other thread, I've got our guys hopefully getting the parts for my Viper. The reason for the sudden replacement parts is that I'm putting the car into this year Top Gear Live show. It will be fully decal'd up to look like a police car, and will be in pursuit of some street racers in a live driving sequence.

I've actually gone through 14 redesigns of the police car livery for the Viper, as each one seemed to rob it of its balls. Attached is a UK police livery example:

So after 14 versions, I realised that of course the car should be an American highway patrol car! Seems obvious once I thought about it, so have settled on the below design - which I think keeps the moody and dangerous look of the Viper, but still makes it police like smile

I thought I'd post this up coz you guys might appreciate it.

How are you going to disguise the red colour? All over body stickers or something?

Going on Rowly's other car I am guessing that it will be Vinyl wrapped?

Hopefully he won't mind me posting this up, (If he does I'll remove it) but when Rowly came to see the car he turned up in what I thought was an Orange Porsche 911 GT3... It turned out it was a Dark Blue Vauxhall Astra which had been vinyl wrapped... (Only kidding, it was a Dark Blue 911 Turbo)...

Very impressive job, I would never had noticed if he had not mentioned it, obviously until the doors were opened, and apart from a couple of overlaps on a couple of the more curvy bits where a couple of pieces of vinyl had had to be used even up close you would not realise it was a vinyl wrap.

It has given me a couple of ideas, I have to say... wink

I'm glad you guys like the desgn, it has 'To Punish and Enslave' down the side where 'To Serve and Protect' normally sits.

The car will be totally vinyl wrapped, like my Turbo, and you'll be hard pressed to spot the difference once completed.

The vinyl lasts for up to 5 years, reduces stone chips, is hard for vandals to key, doesnt need waxing and comes off easily. I'm not kidding when I say I've had the Turbo covered in mud, driven it through rain for a bit and it was (barring the wheels of course) spotless aftewards. All dirt just runs of the vinyl - I love it smile

Regardless of what car I buy next, its going to be Kawasaki Green (whether it likes it or not...)

I'm liking this one very much i have wanted to do similar for a few years and spoke with stickers many the time over it.
I was going to go for a variation of this with extras
