Hi All. I am really interested in fitting Lupo lights to my 450, just wondering if anyone in the Devon area near Torquay has done the conversion, if so would love to meet up and get some advice.

I have the lights too and will be having a crack at it in June. Looking at the threads on here there is no single technique (Ralphmus was one of the people who did it) its just a case of trying to be as tidy as possible in cutting holes in your car !

Dulfords were doing a 450 with Lupo Lights, also fairing them in like the very latest Chimaeras.

Why not pop in and have a chat with them.

Er ok - there must be some tie in though as their Logo artwork is basically the same..!?

Is Peninsula even still going - I can't find them on the net any more?

Cheers,
Matt.

Mike, did you have to trim the fairing at all or does it go back over the top without amendment?

Cheers,
Matt.

Both fairings had to be trimmed.

tbh, that was the easiest job, they are only thin abs and trim easily.

I sat on a stool by the wing with a Stanley knife and parred away offering the fairing up every now and then till a good fit was obtained.

Took about 1 hour each, max.

so if thats the easiest bit, what is the hardest ? (and I don't mean bravest as I'm guessing cutting the bowls out with a dremmel is a bit of a heart racer smile )

Nothing was hard.

I borrowed a small fibreglass air tool cutter and cut out the bowls. I then kept on trimming untill I had the right apperture.
I tacked the lights in place with a small amount of fibreglass and lined them up on the garage wall where I had previously marked the center of the original beams.
When correct, I glassed them in and made good at the rear with some filler foam around the edges.
Trimmed and fitted cowls, wired up and Bob's a goodun!

Thanks for all the info, have taken the plunge and ordered a set from eurocar parts today, anyone thinking of doing the conversion should order them on line at eurocar parts this weekend as they have 20% off on orders over £100 so the lights come out at less than £120 for the pair delivered next day.
Looks like I will be busy next weekend cutting my car up ;-).....Will let you know how it goes .

I bottled it and got Carizma to fit mine but I bought the lights of fleeBay so had a good look at them first.
The adjusters are the white bits in the picture....but to fit them into a TVR you remove them and then use the black bits below them to adjust the beams, these are quite easy to access from the wheel arch holes and can be turned with a spanner, and being plastic with a bit of luck they aren't going to rust. wink

Using the same tool, I cut 2 150 x 150mm access panels in the inner arches and resealed them with silicon.
