If your bonnet cable snaps, contact me and I will let you know how to open it.

Sigh, bows to immeasurable pressure!

I did consider if there was a downside and decided the information outweighed the extreme chance that a would be engine fiddler would be reading this.

I picked up my car from it's mot this week and the monkey had somehow jammed the bonnet shut, no amount of tugging helped.

After a few choice words in his direction, it occured to me to give it a try.

It's certainly not rocket science and after seeing a few threads of bonnet cables snapped I thought this would be useful, what do you think?

On the off-chance this info is picked up by a "bad'un" proably better they at least open the bonnet without damage before doing whatever to your engine, rather than just rip it open from the nearside corner which is held down by bucensoreder all ?

Keep an eye on the bonnet and hope stress crack don't start appearing in the paint and gel coat. As I understand it the fibreglass has some flexibility but not the paint and get coat which may have formed micro cracks that will turn into bot so micro cracks.

doh!, fair point, so edited the post, given some people have alarm sirens etc in the engine bay, and u have access to the main electrics, I'd say still worth removing.

Not sure why you edited it, if some one wants to get in a TVR engine bay its hardly going to need the worlds strongest man to snap the fibreglass held pin

In fact id prefer if some one was to leave the bonnet in tact if they 'must' steal my horses!
