Engine Swap - AJPV8, S6 or LS (NEWBIE QUESTION)

Hi there,
After a few years in the wilderness I am back to TVR's. My current project is an old 94 Chimaera 400. The engine is in good condition as are all the mechanicals but is a pre serp (I do have a T5 box though) and is to be frank a little slow for me. So I am planning to get more power through the winter. Thoughts are swapping the engine for either an AJP V8, Speed 6 or one of the LS series but I am not yet decided either way.(If I had a serpentine I would probably add a supercharger but dont see the point of swapping from a pre serp to a serp unless all the others are impossible/obscenely expensive). I've seen various posts but none have been complete as far as I can tell (unless im missing something). Has anybody done any of the swaps. What are the key points, are they easy or hard, how much custom engineering. I am handy with a spanner and know my way around drums of cable so would tend towards a simple 1 out new 1 in job but I suspect none will be this easy. My guess (It is just a guess) is that the AJP V8 would be easiest but there may still be custom wiring and a custom exhaust set up. Any guidance as to how hard each option is and if you've done it how painful it was both in terms of problems to solve and financially would be much appreciated. I would rather go into this with my eyes open instead of blundering around like an idiot. (I'm probably one already but hey ho!)
