After fitting my track day silencers i went for a run,the engine seems to idle smoother and better low speed manners.OK its a bit quite(same as a standard Chimaera) but it does seem to drive nice and none of that drone noise from the back at high speeds .Is it ok to leave them on for road use and will the engine loose a bit of power..My car is fully decatted with a ACT Y piece and standard exhaust. I have the TVR Monster slot in type .

Good question.

I await sensible answers!

I have run a day with then with no problems.

The additional back pressure may induce slightly richer running but the lamdas should adjust for this at lower RPM?

At higher revs, again might be slightly richer possibly losing a few bhp!

I await, ripcord in hand.

I have megasquirt so will it be the same as the 14cux..running richer..!Remember it is fully decatted so the only back pressure is comming from the centre silencer so even with the track day silencer i can`t see there being any more back pressure than a car with cats fitted. Will the Megasquirt adapt to different conditions .

I've used both, the larger ones are, (no surprise) more effective.
