Still lots to learn about my newly acquired Chim.
What should the front indicators and surround look like (pics please) mine look a bit tatty - lenses are OK but the surround is a roughish looking perforated steel mesh - is that correct ?
Also the rear light are Fiesta units - fair enough but the perspex covers are TVR ? are they still available ? Mine are a bit scratched.
Thanks
Steve

srdtvr,
Yes the front indicator surrounds are a perforated mesh on a pre-facelift Chimaera, similar to the main grille. This, I believe, is painted satin black.
As for the rear lense covers, depending on the severity of the scratches, it may well be worth considering using a plastic polish - certainly a lot cheaper than buying replacement covers and you would not have the hassle of re-sealing the covers afterwards.

Hope this helps,

Ged

Ok so they are correct

Been thinking about the Fiesta rear lights myself and Ive seen a few that have been changed for after market ones that look quite good. Do you have to remove the clear plastic cover to change them, dont pick the car up till next week so cant have a look yet.

A trick I have used in the past for polishing plastic is to use toothpaste, slightly wetted on a soft cloth, don't use kitchen towel as it is rather abrasive. Try a small area fist, but gotta be worth a go before going down the route of replacement.
