I've had Gaz Nickel coils fitted for some time.( I know they are not the popular choice) However, I'm not sure what setting is the best for daily use. I've recently gone to max stiffness as a start which is making the car very bouncy, even on a fairly even road, it's too unsettled over bumps and feels very "old school" ! Should the fronts n rears be set to the same stiffness?
I'm overseas and a pro setup of the car isn't really an option as it's all porsch or M3 or rice rockets over here

I suspect you're much too stiff! I started with mine in mid position and then stiffened them up a bit to prevent grounding on 'big dipper' type bumps. For track days I stiffen them up a couple of clicks if it's dry.

After a year I had the ride height reset as it has settled a bit.

I found mine better when softer like 6-8 clicks from soft all round thats all its seemed to need for the road, I plyed with them lots and found it skittish when they where to hard.

What springs, wheels and tyres do you have? All these things are going to be a factor in where you set the dampers.

The coil/ springs are the Gaz nickels. I've 18" wheels, ultra low profile rubber and the car is lowered using the adjustable coils.Guess this is part the problem!
I personally hate small wheels n fat high tires unless it's on a yank muscle. I think my Chim looks better for it, more modern perhaps? !
