Central locking not working!

I let my battery run low by accident and now I cannot lock or unlock the car with the key fob. the button inside the car still works so I am wondering if I should disconnect the battery so everything re sets. Any advice would be gratefully received.

Yes, assuming your battery is recharged, disconnect, wait 1 min, reconnect
