Different help on tyres
Discussion
My brother has booked me a track day for my birthday
so I can get some tuition and also get to thrash the behind off a Civic Type R, S2000 and NSX. The tyres only have 3 or 4 mm left on them so will need replacing if I decide to take the chim round the track.
How much am I looking at per corner for new Bridgestone ZR's and can anyone recommend a website or place to get them.
Cheers

Bracknell Tyre and Battery. Cheap as chips (well, rubber ones) and good service. Look them up in Yell.co.uk but be aware, get there 30 mins before they open (on a Saturday) to avoid the queue. First time I got there at opening time and had to wait for 2 hours. Last time got there 30 mins before, read the paper and left 5 mins after they opened. Bonus.

www.mytyres.co.uk
the dot com site is an auzzie one!!
Haven't used them myself, but if you are worried that there might not be enought tread left at teh end of the day. Then www.buyatyre.com , part of bookatrack will fit the replacements at the end of the track day, apparrently.
Anyone in the PH massive used them specifically to do this and would like to comment
.

Don't know whereabouts you are, but I've just phoned Wembley Tyres (Wembley, London) and they're doing Toyo T1-S 245/45ZR16's for £90+Vat including fitting and balancing. Not a bad price I reckon.
Going to get a couple fitted tomorrow morning as my old Toyo's are bald as hell!!
That is a good price better than mytyres.co.uk.
Will give them a call I reckon
Used the bookatrack tyre replacement service after a day at Anglsey earlier this year. The tyres were only a couple of quid more than other quotes I had and cheaper than some. They fitted them right at the end of the day so I could have fun making sure there was no tread left on the old ones.
A good friendly service.

Just got a quote from Mytyres at £89.60 with aprox £10 fitting by a local tyre place.

Was looking at Bridgestones not Toyo's! They didn't come up with a quote for the front ones though which are currently 225/50/ZR16.
Sure this has been discussed before but the bible recommends Bridgestones yet many people on here seem to rate/use Toyo's any reason?
Toyo do a 225 X50 X ZR15 91W and I am currently waiting for Mytyres to quote me as they have quoted on V rated which I am not sure is ok!

Aren't Toyo's what TVR fit as standard instead of Bridgestone now?
They're cheaper and grip better. People loved the S02 tyres but they're like gold dust now, so the Toyo T1-S's are a pretty good alternative.
