Peninsula TVR and Dulford Autmotive - Linked?
Discussion
I mentioned this on another thread a while back but never got to the bottom of it.
Way back in the day (early 2000's) I remember Peninsula TVR's logo being repesentative of a sad looking fish looking left (or a car depending on how you looked at it). And then in about 2003 they re-vamped it a bit so it didn't look like a sad fish any more however it was still a line drawn car pointing to the left and in the same sort of pen strokes as the original sad fish; it then being:

However, I now notice the original sad fish is on Dulford Automotives logo...( http://www.dulfordauto.co.uk)
Basically if their logo was blue and said Peninsula instead of Dulford it would be the same thing!
Can anyone enlighten me at all ..it can't just be a coincidence ?
Thanks,
Matt.

As I remember it
Richard was service manage at Brooklands the TVR dealer in Exeter
He left and set up Peninsula Automotive in Cullompton with a couple of other guys. They where a Marcos dealer and independant TVR, The first logo was a Marcos IIRC. Some of the Brooklands staff joined as the business grew
A few years later a local businessman got involved and he and Richard moved and rebranded as Peninsula TVR as TVR and Lotus dealer
A little while later Richard left the business moved back to the Cullompton area and set up Dulford Automotive
