I often feel the Imola alloys seem to sit very recessed within the wheel arches. In an effort to improve this I’m swithering about buying some 5mm wheel spacers off eBay in the hope it might slightly enhance the look. Has anyone used these (I know it's fairly common on Tuscans), do they make any difference and is there any negative impact on the handling or geometry?

Cheers
Richard

Can't imagine 5mm having too dramatic effect on things, in fact will it even be visibly noticeable scratchchin ?

When fiddling with even 3mm spacers I found the stubs too short to have confidence with the wheel nuts.

Edited to add that I have Estorial alloys (Spelling?), which may be thicker, I don't know.

Not sure if this is any help to anybody. During my aerospace engineering days a nut was "in safety" if at least 1.5 threads were visible once tightened. Personally on wheel nuts I am more conservative, but thats just me.
