HELP! Can anyone measure their chim tonight?
Discussion
Sorry it's such an ask btu I've borrowed a trailer which is too narrow and have committed to collecting my car tomorrow
Can anyone measure the width between outer sidewalls at the FRONT of their chim?
If the front will go on I may be able to fit spacesaver(s) or 15s at the rear to get the width down enough to fit.
Any ideas ... measurements gratefully received.
Chim at rear is 1865mm wide, trailer has 1750mm so hopefully front is within that and its just narrowing the rear I need to worry about.
Ta!

Hi Sam,
Tis I, Trevor, who picked/swopped some Rims with you last year, in a Yaris!! Your generosity/fairness in swopping/selling wheels has helped me in the TVR Speed Champs, running 2nd/3rd at present. Tks.
I had the same problem with a 1.70 trailer.
Fronts just squeeze on at 1.68, (my soft 888's) but as you've worked out, you'll need 15 inch or a space saver(or two for plenty of room) for the rear. Don't squeeze the rears on as you may alter the camber angle - been there.......got a tee shirt!!
Also work out, if you drive on, how you open the door and get out??? Usually the wheel arches of the trailer are too high!! Out thro' the window is an option, but only if it's not raining!!!
Good luck & HTH

various helpful stuff!!
Hi Trev, glad you're doing well. Thanks for the info, it looks like front is ok and another spacesaver will sort the rear. Neil Garner may even have one there...The trailer I had to deliver the car was great, but the one for tomorrow less so! Weather was 'just' ok so left roof off but yes may have to leave window open or get many men to push it on.
We'll see...
Thanks all for the help, amazing and at such short notice. You won't see all here, some emailed or texted direct so thanks to everyone!
Sam
