impeccable timing on my part, to embark on a 400bhp engine build the day before...

if i was a dog, my name would be "lucky"

I am sure he only says rubbish like this from time to time to show he still exists.

If he said it wouldn't rain again I would buy shares in a company specialising in umbrellas.

TW would turn in his grave reading this crap. The cars are/were very special. Noble and Morgan are surviving, without (correct me if i'm wrong) a diesel or electric version. What's the point of a diesel or electric TVR ? OK the point of any car is that the company manufacturing it makes money... otherwise it wouldn't get built in the first place... er, generally speaking... So, TVR will possibly return manufacturing new cars.... in another country.... with.. American engines... or diesel engines (BMW)... or electric... (AA batteries ?). Maybe if pre-Smolensky TVR had said we're putting LS3's in the new cars, we'd probably have all said "Fuc*ing awesome, great choice, put me down for one, can't wait". But that's not how it went......

Shame the boys at Noble (or even Aston maybe) can't buy the TVR legacy... now who knows what that might produce......

If I had access to the right skills, I'd have a go

It must be possible to build a good looking car that handles with 250-300bhp for under £40k, surely, just like the original brief ?

Has to still be a market for it...

I did actually moot this a while ago...

if it was done with something outrageous then the idea is not that crazy

Merc 4.0Cdi V8 - 350bhp, 512ftlbs - that should shift and only 18mpg ! (maybe 22mpg with the weight saving)

But no, seriously, it's not a good idea in a TVR.

Fair enough for the mainstream manufacturers, conservative, conformist blah blah blah.

When a brand, like TVR, sets out its stall as "Hardcore" then hardcore it must remain.

If i was to build such a car, it would have manual wind up windows !

Nah, you're getting confused : that's smollocks' 'leccy prototype, modelled on the F22 fighter "Edge" surface design. Needs a bit of work before it'll be effective in stealth mode mind..

They missed a bit out on the "press release" - the electric one was also going to have amphibious and fully submersible capability - you can see the conning tower.

Smollocks planned to build a fleet of them and invade Devon in order to eliminate our sole surviving native industry - the Cream Tea

why dont we all put a grand each in the kitty and buy the TVR legacy back and franchise it out to Noble or Aston Martin? we could even sell the Griff name to MG and put some change in our trousers!!
