Shall I risk it?
Discussion
I'd welcome your thoughts please!
Having put the Chimaera away running perfectly, when I went to start it on Sunday (fully charged etc), the fuel pump did not kick in. Changed the relay. No change. Changed both relays for new ones, no change.
Checked that the wires were on the fuel pump snuggly. All okay.
Gave the fuel pump a hefty few 'taps'
and it all works! Tried four times - all good.
Now....... on Thursday I am going to France in the Chimaera for a couple of weeks.
Do I have a new fuel pump fitted before I go? Or actually, are fuel pumps prone to doing this sort of thing and now that it's cleared, it should be fine? Could a bit of dirt caused by running fuel too low or similar, cause the problem? And now that I've dislodged it - we're okay again?
I'd welcome some opinions please! Thanks
