Boot problem again!

I need to get into the boot of my dinged Chim to get to the cd changer and some shopping(it was not perishable) but the battery was disconnected by the fire brigade for safety.....Can someone email me with a way of getting it open without connecting power please.

I appreciate this info request has been asked many times before but on those posts an email is sent for security.

The insurance assess it this week....can't wait!

Page 27 of mine is a contents list for next few pages, page 26 says (boot release only operates when ignition is on)

Its a newer chim (1997) release under dash.

V strange same as mine button under the dash. Must have changed them 1996/1997
