Some exhaust questions as i'm considering increasing the noise levels on mine biggrin but would prefer to keep mine standard in case i want to change back.

Is the exhaust manifold Y piece from an earlier car that bolts to the manifold able to be secured to the later manifold by using the compression bands as on later cars?

Also, is there any difference in the Y piece between a 400, 450 and 500?

Finally is full exhaust (from after the Y piece to the back) and different from a pre-facelift car to a post facelift car? and and differences in the exhasut between a 400/450/500?

My car is a '98 450

Thanks!

1. no! early (precat)cars have a bolt up flange All cat cars are the same (v band)
2. if we're talking non precat there is no difference (griff having the flexi joint in the exhaust)
3. the only difference i know is the the rear mounting bracket is in a slightly different location so you will need a longer L shaped hanger.
