From memory, remove a couple of self tappers from the little tray at the back of the tunnel, (under the try). Release two more at the front of the tunnel on the far corners and wiggle it off.

Door cards, dunno!

thanks Mike iirc that there might be an issue getting it over the gear stick because of a springummy thingummy and i am rubbish at putting things back together especially springs.
maybe i will just be able to lift it off but not over the gear stick

There is 3-4 10mm nuts holding a fibreglass frame that hold the gear/hand brake trim in place under it that you can get to once the main arm rest has been released

The door card is a pain aswell, remove the speaker and there's 3-4 10mm nuts holding the leather part of the card on, screw behind the ash tray,

Then just more screws once that part is off

If you remove the gearknob the centre console should come off fairly easily (after removing the 2 self tappers mentioned). You'll need to prise the 2 parts of the console apart in order to clear the door latch cables (on my 1996 car at least).

I've just picked up a spare pair of door cards to re-trim the centres. I can take a couple of photos of them if you like - will help to show you where the 3 nuts are (they're from an early 93 car, but I assume the door cards stayed the same through the Chimaera lifetime).

For the door cards there were 4x 10mm (m6) nuts, one forward of the speaker aperture, one immediatelyto the rear of the speaker then 2 more further back.

You will wish for thinner, longer boneless arms.
You will probably drop the nuts when trying to get them back on. So have spares.
I actually replaced the nuts with m6 wing nuts which i find easier.

I am already wishing for longer thinner arms and I haven't started yet. I had enough trouble trying to get the nuts back on when I removed the roof. In fact I only managed to get the centre one on

Just a small self tapper, mine looked like wood screws
