Go to local motor factors ask for Sierra Mk 2 disc,s pads I got qoute off TVR garage £900.00 plus vat.

£96.00 pounds the lot 8hrs to fit where,s the logic in that you can upgrade to any thing really that fits but TVR decided that those were the brakes I have found no problems at all with my brakes and iam no slouch when it comes to driving it.

These (link below) are recommended for your car - why keep searching flea-bay for rip-offs??

I use 888/887 calipers and 283mm discs with ferodo pads on the TVR Speed Champs and no issues, but these are tempting as they are listed for TVRs

there was a thread recently about that kit, looks ok and used on a few of the race TVR's aswell Kerri got some prices to me, I'm still to decide wether to go for them or not.
4P010 283x24 Chimaera WMS 4-pot kit = £397.34+vat
- Ferodo DS2500 (fast road) = £47.20+vat/set
- Front Earls WMS-fit braided brake lines = £33.23+vat/pr
- UK zone 1 shipping = £FREE when payment is via bank transfer as it saves the PayPal fees! (otherwise PayPal is fine but it's £10.00+vat shipping)

= £477.77+vat ( £573.32 inclusive )

I usualy hate the grammer natzis but by god use some ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, hehe

on the road yes the brakes are fine, get on track though (which Daz does) and you will soon find out that they are not up to much after a few laps of hard driving, plus there is the added benefit of the weight saving too.

I can`t see the 283x24 Chimaera WMS being much better than the 887 888 calipers ,there usueing the same discs ..the only advantage is the weight..I`ve noticed there are loads of Brake kits on Flebay ,its just down to knowing what to buy..

I was thinking something more like this ..but not sure if they fit

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cosworth-2-wheel-drive-B...

Got to say the ferodo DS2500 he is selling are cheap there over £130 for my 887 888 calipers.

Yes I agree track days something different, I also run a road going drag mini 1380 turbo, I do like speed myself in the right circumstance, we change our pads for track generally going through a full set.
So as my TVR is not subject to track days it suits my purpose.
Not using mine for track days, the noise police at Croft have made sure no body enjoys there selves now, would the red/green stuff pads help, that would be my next on a road going car. Does anyone think they would make any differance at all!!

Cheers,

KENHIND

aye tis a shame whats happening at croft, was only there last monday for a BMW car club track day and they were still VERY strict even though it was one of the few 'noisy' days they have.

to be honest I have never been a fan of EBC pads, I'd personaly go for something like mintex 1144 or the 2500's Daz mentioned both very good all round pads.

I would be tempted to find a four pot caliper from a car that takes the same size disc thickness, maybe evo brembos, subarus etc. Then get a local engineering firm to fab up some alloy brackets, thats what I did worked out a treat.

330mm cosworth discs and alloy bells ebay £150.00
TVR Tuscan calipers ebay- (I like the TVR logo lol) £150.00
Custom Bracket £100

Job done and very light and powerful!
