what antifreeze to use

i use shell glycerol £16.99 5 litres from shell garage one of the best around

You get what you pay for, I suppose - each to his/her own.

I got Comma Antifreeze Concentrate - good for 2 years, -36 dgrees (winter) and +45 degrees (summer) and cost £12 I think.

You will need 5 litres - with a 50/50 mix with water, I used almost all up....I am sure I read that the coolant system needed 11 litres or so??

I have just done that job and also changed the thermostat, water pump and hoses whilst I was at it....

Don't be tempted to buy a cheap one - Not all have sufficient anti corrosion additives!

Good piece of advice I was given by a recoring man was to always use a car manufacturers own brand, they have to contain all the right additives and corrosion inhibitors, they have a lot at stake so the quality has to be good regardless of manufacturer. Seemed logical to me and have always heeded it.
