500 Rims Look-a-like??
Discussion
If you want to go to 17" rims these are a pretty good modern take on the Estoril.

or these from the Capri in 15"

There is a 450 in the classifieds with the RS 17" wheels as per your Ebay link:
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3069277.htm
But if you search in the PH parts classifieds for TVR parts and then filter for 'wheel' there are a number of Griffith wheels for sale in the 'standard' adverts section. Not sure if this link will work:
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/list.asp?g=3&...
If not: Classifieds>Parts>TVR, then filter 'wheel' then go to page 2. These were cheaper than the Ebay link you posted too.

Not sure there any 16" in that design I know several Griffs run the 17" wheels
Sorry I was being vague. What I meant to ask was ...
Could I replace my 15in Front and 16in Rears with these 17" as a straight swap.
I realise I would need to put a lower profile tyre on the 17in wheels.

Ah OK. I think you can just fit them as they're fourstud and have the right ofsets iirc. There was a Griff at the Growl at the weekend wearing a set and Swanny's car (sold now) used to run a set as well. Best looking 'alternative' wheels I've seen. What I meant to ask was ...

I will have a set of unmarked original R16, F15 Estorils, factory fitted new to my Chim 500 in 1998.
Toyo T1R rears, bridgestone fronts with less than 1000 miles + 3 hours airfield use.
Selling due to big brakes and big wheels upgrade.
The new wheels are to order and may take up to 10 more weeks, so anticipate the estorils will be available in Sept/October.
Equally happy to keep them in order to have the future option of originality, but have no convenient storage (inconvenient is available though).
A good offer will part them from me.

One of the Griff lads I know might be interested in these. He has a set of Gottis on his 500 atm and was talking about putting a set of Estorils back on. I'll let him know about these!Toyo T1R rears, bridgestone fronts with less than 1000 miles + 3 hours airfield use.

as long as you're not worried they might be tainted - do you think putting chimp wheels on a griff might be asking for trouble, let alone JD's chimp ?

No I think we are all big enough boys to accept that they were designed for the Griff 500 first.;)Tainted because they are yours? No but I would check that they arent full of
rather than air!!!!
I've sent him an email and told him about them
