Where have all the TVRs gone? My Monday-Friday car is temporarily out of action (chuckle chuckle), so I have been using my Chimaera daily for over a week now, Hindhead tunnel runs, commuting to/from work last Friday, Monday, yesterday and today with not another TVR in sight.

A while ago, occasionally during my daily commute GU8, RG8 and back I used to come across a light blue metallic Chim, but I have not seen T???TVR for weeks now, I hope driver and car are OK.

Dear Lonely in Surrey.

You won't see mine either as mine is off the road having major surgery.

Dear lonely in Surrey,

You will not see mine either, my Imperial Blue TVR did live near Gatwick, but she fell in love with me and now lives in France..

Yours, very sad, single, living in France.

Maybe everyone is saving petrol money just for the weekends – I know I am.

Finally, on my way home tonight on the B3001 passed a dark red/claret Chimaera travelling in the opposite direction up to the A31, didn’t have time to take in the plate.

You wont see me either between SO41 and GU23 as my owner has dug up the drive in front of my house/garage to lay some new fancy block driveway. All I can hear all day is a digger and a lot of grumbling. Hope to be let out soon as I dont like being couped up in all this lovely weather.

I'm in the same area as you, haircutmike, but mine's sleeping on the driveway under a cover while I enjoy the raw, unbridled powaar of a rented Fiat 500 in Umbria. I have searched the entire rev range looking for some torque but not found any - and that includes the red bit that means "do not enter this region unless this is a rented car".

I really wish I had the TVR with me. It would be in its element: perfect weather, some fast roads, and tunnels!

Not many people know that, "To Dork" is a verb.

It is no longer illeagal and actually is enjoying something of a renaissance.
