CARRERA 3.8 4S convertible
Discussion
That's not a bad scalp Daz -
IIRC 385bhp, +/- 1600kgs, 0-60 just sub 5 seconds, 180 or so top. That car was the natural progression from my RS60 spyder, but the fact that Porsche's line up (excepting GT/turbos) are all more or less the same bhp/tonne put me off, hence I got TVR
ETA - actually, looking at those figures, no wonder you beat him, power to weight, although upwards of 100 or so he'd have slaughtered you.
That's where Porsche have gone of the rails - power to weight has barely changed since the 80's. It's a real shame, I love em, but they ain't that quick anymore

A few years ago, a 996 C4S thad a go against my Chimaera 400. Acceleration from about 20mph up to about 70 was identical. It was only when we approached a corner did the porsche really prove its worth. It could carry so much more speed than the TVR. Was impressed, but still glad to be in the Chimaera
