I know it's from some Range Rover, with a modified pipe, but what model is it exactly from?

It's not a range rover one. It is more Ford part iirc.

Depends on your model year and then as you say it's a modified "Rover" model, whether Land or Range whatever, they are modified.

A "Radiator" specialist will re-core what you have (even in France?) if you give him what's fitted!!

I'm sure if you measured it up and then visited Scrap Yards/Parts Stores you'd find similarities in Rover/Ford etc, but no direct model AFAIK?

Ford Sierra is as close to the TVR one as i could find. Not 100% on Sizes.

The range rover one does not look like the right shape in some years i have seen but there may be one that could fit.

Thank you for your answers.

The only radiator specialist I could find near Paris (looks like that species is almost extinct here) didn't seem to be very sure of what kind of matrix to put there, and finally quoted me €412 eek

Maybe I'd be better off sending my old rad to some reputable place in the UK... Any recommendation?

Derived from Rover SD1 / very early Discovery I believe, finding the tight angle on the return side is the trick, many of the aftermarket LR ones butchered this to come straight out.

All the side tanks are capable of taking extra / larger cores, seems like they were all originally built with only 3/4 of the cores installed (nice for future upgrading I guess - which is good for us).

Had mine recored about 2y ago, I believe it is a rangerover classic core, as noted the bottom pipe has a 90 degree bend on it which i think is peculiar to the chimaera. Had mine turned round in 24hrs.

I spent a lot more than EUR450 on a new alloy one. I do beleive they can be had more cheaply than I got mine for though.

Looks like you could get a brand new spangly one for the same price as your parisian specialist will charge to fix your original.

Theres an Ebay service that others recommended to me when I needed to do mine, the only reason I never used this was that there a place nesr me that recores for a local TVR specialist and had one on the shelf.

Might be worth a phone call regarding the 'postage'.
