Hi Guys,

Any advice on removing the 'Y' piece. I thought this could be done without removing the rest of the exhaust, i,m sure a Saw a video of it being done on here some time ago.

So far, I've removed both of the clamps and the u-bolt underneath, but the front chassis cross member prvents me moving the y section far enough forward to release it from the main exhaust.

cheers guys

Hi Angus you also need to remove the 13mm bolt that holds the exhaust to the side of the block, a few inches back of your u-bolt, this allows you to lift the exhaust enough to wiggle it out.

Have removed that bold aswell. but still not enough lift to get it out. Seems to be catching on the edge of the bell housing.
looks like i'll have to drop the whole exhaust or take it to a local garage, unless there is another technique.

Release the end hanger, the 8 bolts holding the exhaust tray and from memory, the 2 ARB brackets, (allow the ARB to swing down and hold the system up).
Grab the 2 tail pipes, twist and wiggle!

Then unbolt the Y piece confused.

Done it a couple of times and didn't have to take the rest of the exhaust off. After you have taken the bolt that holds the exhaust to the side, place a jack on the exhaust (around and same area where the bolt was) and jack it up, this should give you some more room to get the y section off.
