Hello, a colleague of mine who works with south Wales Police came across this on Monday. It's a burnt out Chimaera which was on the Bwlch mountain in south Wales. My knowledge of TVR's isn't the best so I don't know anymore about the car sorry. Does anyone know of a possible stolen Chimera in this particular area? Maybe it could be an insurance job. Either way it's a sad sight to see.

Sad sight indeed. Mine went to it's new home in Derbyshire a few weeks ago.

Not a nice sight. I guess it's possible if the grass was really dry that it could have been parked there and heat from the exhausts ignited the grass (remote possibility I guess). Though if that were the case surely the owner would now be known to the police?

Very sad - it doesn't look like the sort of terrain somebody who cares about their TVR would drive over by choice so maybe the end of a joyride frown

Only in Wales would you find a place name that sounds like somebody being punched in the stomach!
hehe

Very sad picture, though. I'm surprised you could even identify it as a Chimaera. frown

A very sad sight to see, no matter what the car, but especially a TVR frown

Hmmm - a bit fishy - is it me or does the engine block appear to be missing?

Early Chim - rubber rear bumper trim in photo?
I think the engine block has been plastic coated.
Drivers seat seems fully back possibly suggesting a tallish twoc'er... hope they catch the bu663rS
