this is probably a stupid question, but i believe foam air filters such as you find on a chim are washable, if so how is this done most effectively, chuck it in the washing machine, blast it with a hose pipe or rinse in warm soapy water? if so, is there a special soap, or just washing up liquid? i also believe you can spray a coating on them to help the dirt stick to them better, whats this called, is it a halfords job, or more specialist?
no, whats the difference? they are all foam arent they?, i was just thinking about giving everything a quick clean and tidy and thought the air filters could be cleaned, its not old and i dont need a new one, when i had my ignition upgrade i think they changed it for a better one any way, not sure how much 'better' a K&N would be as they all seem to be similar? I didnt wanna buy a new one if i could give it a quick clean
This is what i bought (or the equivalent of)
