Mine has developed a noticeable fairly high pitched whine that is really beginning to irritate when the roof's down.

My specialist garage reckons it's normal, but I'm not convinced. Is there anything I could check to try and reduce the volume of this whine? I just want to hear the engine!!!!

Any similar stories?

Thanks,
Dave

How is your power steering fluid level...?

Try putting your head in the engine bay while someone gently turns the wheel with the engine running but the car stationary... if the whine gets worse then it is probably power steering related.
