After hearing of the common fuel pump relay failure on PH some years ago, I bought one as a spare.
Went to start the Chimaera after it had been standing for a week (usually used daily) and no pump whirr.

Checked fuel pump connections (I can just about reach without jacks) but no joy, then changed the relay and bingo. So thanks to PH, fault through diagnosis and finding the spare, to repair was approx 15mins, so only a little late for work.

Hopefully, this thread will remind someone else to buy the spare and help them out too.

As some additional repayment:
I fitted some steering rack gaitors over weekend and after much struggling found that the best technique to get the gaitor over the steering rack (which is a larger diameter than the end of the gaitor) is to roll the end of the gaitor back on itself, offer it up to the steering rack and then unroll. This flips the end of the gaitor onto the steering rack. With this knowledge, I did the nearside in around a quarter of the time it took me to do the offside. Might help someone.

Cheers, Matt
